Where are you located?

We are located at 2152 Zulla Rd, The Plains, VA.
The store is located right off Zulla Rd. If you are coming from Middleburg headed south on Zulla Rd, the driveway will be on your right shortly after you pass the Tennis Club on the left. If you are coming from Marshall/Warrenton headed north on Zulla Rd, the driveway will the next driveway after Locust Hill Lane on the left.  Look for the big white signs that say Store at Locust Hill, and an Open flag when we are open!

What are your hours?

Accepted Answer

We are open the following days and hours:
Wednesdays: 1 p.m. - 5 p.m.
Thursdays: 9 a.m. - 1 p.m.
Fridays: 1 p.m. - 5 p.m.
Saturdays: 9 a.m. - 1 p.m.
 
We will be closed for some holiday (like Christmas and New Year's, and will put a notice of closures on our website and Facebook page).

Is your beef grass fed?

Our beef is grass fed and grain finished. Our animals have access to grass their whole lives, and we provide access to grain for approximately the last 120 days. We feel that provides the best balance of flavor and management.

Are you organic?

Accepted Answer

We are not certified organic. While we raise our produce and our beef as naturally as possible, in the case of illness or a pest issue we will use the best option to treat the issue. When we do, we follow all withdrawal protocols so that everything is antibiotic/pesticide free when it gets to you.

Question 5

Do your use hormones or antibiotics?

Accepted Answer

We do not implant our animals with hormones and we strive to raise our cattle as naturally as possible. However, if one of our animals gets sick, we do our best to treat it so it suffers minimally at most. If we do treat an animal with antibiotics, we follow all withdrawal protocols and labels, so our meat is antibiotic free when you buy it in the store.
